Three Types of Heavy Duty Pallet Racking

1. Heavy-duty racks, we can also call them low-level heavy-duty racks. Such heavy-duty racks are generally designed with a four-layer loadable level. Shelves can be separated into groups and placed in the warehouse for easy movement, height adjustment and partial reorganization of the shelves. The heavy-duty rack is composed of diamond-shaped hole columns, beams, spacers, diagonal braces for stabilizing the rack, and other safety accessories. This kind of shelf is the original form of heavy-duty shelf and a common structural form of many shelves.

2. High shelf. Among warehouse shelves, shelves above 5 meters are called high shelves, including heavy beam shelves. The columns and beams of the high racks are made of high-quality Q235 steel, and the connection form is a plug combination of columns and beams. In actual use, it is necessary to install a connecting device to further improve the stability of the high shelf. The specifications of the high shelf column include: 90×65×1.8 mm, 70×60×1.8 mm, 55×45×1.5 mm and other special shelf column profiles. The beams of high-level racks are generally c-shaped steel welded beams with a width of 90-140 mm, a height of 50 mm, and a material thickness of 1.5 mm

3. Shuttle shelves. The shuttle racking system is a high-density storage system composed of racks, shuttles and forklifts. This efficient storage method is to improve the utilization of warehouse space. The advantages of shuttle racks are high storage density, high warehouse utilization, high work efficiency, and greatly reduce operating waiting time. This kind of shelf operation is flexible, and the goods can be accessed in a first-in first-out or first-in-last-out manner. The safety factor is high, which reduces the collision between the rack and the forklift, and improves the safety and productivity. The lighting requirements are relatively low, and the overall investment is less than the same type of automated shelves.
